Great
Commuter Bike
By Patrick Williams(Owner), Feb. 20,
2010
Been riding for over 35 years, when gas
prices went over $4/gal, I got a Ninja 500 to commute to work. Enough power to
cruise hwy speeds all day, cheap price and insurance. Not all bent like a
rocket bike, but not laid back like a cruiser. Old style but that what I needed
for a commuter bike.

I have a ninja 500R 2003. This winter I replaced the
thermoswitch on the radiator because the fan wasn't working. Now it start but
almost when the temperature gage is in the red...at 3/4. Before it was below
the half. I tried to remove air from the radiator but I'm not able to reach a
normal temperature because the coolant leak when the cap is off...The coolant
in the reservor is between the two lines. Yesterday after my ride I saw some
slide of what I think is coolant from the radiator cap...and during my ride I
smell coolant when I was riding faster on the highway and I slow down and the
smell go away...
keep waiting for more updates ....thank you !
